Character Count Guide for Blog Posts, Facebook Pages & More

Recommended Posts

There usually multiple discussions on how long a blog post should be or how long social media posts should be in forums.  Found this guide at Hubspot that answers all those questions.

When it comes to writing posts and updating profiles for your blog and social media, one of the most common questions folks have is: What's the character limit on X, Y, or Z? Another common one: What's the ideal character count for X, Y, or Z?

Thank you so much for sharing this link. Its really confusing, what is the perfect length of a blog post or Facebook post. Though may be there is no specific rule on this but a standard should be maintained.

Based on my research online, I found out that an ideal length posts for Facebook is  less than 40. For twitter the ideal would be around 100 characters while an average blog length is around 7 minutes and more or less closer to 1000 character counts.

I guess twitter allow 140 characters!
