Competing On Price

Recommended Posts

As the title of the referenced article below says "Anyone Can Compete On Price" but is that really a good way to run your business?

But there’s an underlying issue that may be a little harder to resolve: competing on price is bad for business.

Anyone Can Compete On Price

The big guys have better buying power than you as a small operation but your advantage is more personalized service.  Price isn't everything.  Excellent service and building a good reputation will get people skipping the big guys.

I have found that once I started raising my prices considerable (content creation services) I would actually get more offers. The idea of cutting prices beyond anything may seem like good business practice at first, but it can come back to haunt you later when everyone expects you to do good for cheap and you are struggling to make ends meet.
