Aged domains have value?

Recommended Posts

Guest ikjcnjah

I have a Q, I've been opening and shutting websites as it suits me, but I'm hearing that there's value in domains that have a little content and have been registered for a while. I don't why they'd have value, and is this all just a rumor? Should I be holding onto the sites I'm not using and let them age a little before maybe selling them onwards?

thanks

These domains typically sell for more than a new one does because it has been around for awhile, and for those who are looking for aged domains, it can help them develop an existence online, a history, or credibility in their niche markets simply because if the domain has been around for years, it appears that they have as well.

Yes they are. But when you are taking developed domain name you need to understand that you will be developing that in the only possible way. In that case that would be hard to adjust new things.
